Derbyshire Carers Association held its second Information Roadshow event at Buxton Methodist Church on the 15th August 2023.

The Roadshows are being held in response to feedback from Carers participating in the ongoing High Peak Consultation Project, which highlighted that Carers would benefit from opportunities to find out what support is available to them and their loved-ones as early possible.

We were delighted to have an expanded list of services attending covering topics including mental health, dementia support, palliative care, and digital inclusion.

There was also an opportunity for Carers to find out more about personalised care and what it means, courtesy of the Peer Leadership Development Programme, Rural Action Derbyshire and PC Refurb.

Feedback from the event was really positive, with Carers saying that it was:

‘very informative’

‘fab, with lots of good info’

‘fantastic event organised by Derbyshire Carers Association; so informative, so much help out there to make people’s lives so much better’.

More Roadshows are planned, so please keep an eye out for future events in your area!

If you have any questions about the event, or are interested in the High Peak Consultation Project more generally, please contact Emma Beestone at: emma.beestone@derbyshirecarers.co.uk or on 07816 283550.
