In compliance with the Care Act 2014, our Derbyshire Adult Carer service is offered to Carers aged 18 years and over, who provide unpaid care and support, regardless of the amount or type of support they provide, financial means, or level of need for support.

The Carer should be caring for a resident of Derbyshire County.

The Adult Carer service will also include Young Carers who are in Transition and who are likely to have needs when they become 18 years old and Parent Carers, who are likely to have needs when the Disabled Child they care for, becomes 18 years old. This is regardless of whether the Young Carer or Parent Carer has previously received any services.

The service is also available for Carers for up to twelve months after their caring role has ended.
