We’re delighted to congratulate Bex Cox and Helen Adcock from South Derbyshire CVS on successfully completing their Carers Champion training, delivered by Jayne Davies (middle), Employer Engagement Lead at Derbyshire Carers Association.

By volunteering to become Carers Champions, Bex and Helen have taken an important step in supporting unpaid Carers within the workplace. Their commitment to this role will help foster a more compassionate and inclusive working environment, where colleagues who are carers feel seen, heard, and supported.

Carers Champions play a crucial role in peer-to-peer support. They act as a point of contact for colleagues who may be juggling work and caring responsibilities, offering guidance, signposting to resources, and helping to raise awareness of Carers’ needs across the organisation.

Thank you, Bex and Helen, for your dedication and for helping to make South Derbyshire CVS a more Carer-friendly workplace. Your efforts will make a real difference.
