Volunteers’ Week is an annual, UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.
This initiative was launched in 1984 and is an opportunity for organisations such as ourselves to thank current and past volunteers for their invaluable efforts.
This year’s celebration runs from Monday 2nd – Sunday 8th June 2025 and we love an opportunity to say
“THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT”
Volunteers are invaluable to our organisation and many of our groups and activities wouldn’t be able to run without support from “Volunteers”.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet people, and to give something back to the community.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering with us please visit our website derbyshirecarers.co.uk/volunteering or call: 01773 833833.

TELEPHONE BEFRIENDING making a friendly phone call to alleviate loneliness to an isolated Carer from your own home
EVENTS this could be helping at an event such as Carers Week, an annual campaign to help raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid Carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities. Or supporting a group of Carers enjoying days out and activities that we run – so you could be joining a trip to Bolsover Castle, cruising on the canal or helping with an afternoon tea!
