We have been busy with activities for Young Carers this summer and here is our second round-up of what we have been doing.
Junction Arts Chesterfield.
At the start of the summer holidays, Young Carers from our Chesterfield support group had fun creating stamp blocks out of Lego, painting them and making prints with staff from Junction Arts, who are based in Chesterfield and are currently working on a wellbeing through arts programme, supporting various groups in the local community.
Shipley Park Visit
Young Carers from Amber Valley and Erewash areas, spent the day in the sunshine, enjoying the park, exercise equipment, walking in the woods whilst reading the nature trail, picnic and ice cream. We had lots of fun and made new friends.
Swadlincote snow centre.
Young Carers from the South of the county spent the day snow tubing, and tobogganing, there was so much laughter and squealing as we ventured down the slopes and Viper slide!
Young Adult Carers (16-24 Years )Peak Walk
We linked with Peak District National Park, wellbeing and communities rangers for a 3 mile walk around Grindleford woods, taking in the beauty of our stunning scenery in our county and had some time out from our busy caring roles.
