The day started with a hot drink and chat while we waited for everyone to arrive.

We then all sat around the craft table and listened to Annie’s story of where she started, her passion and the different products she now makes and sells.

Then it was time to get making wax melts!

There was a range of scents, colours, glitters, petals and designs to choose from before mixing them all together and pouring into our tray moulds for them to set.

While these set we then made candles by rolling the wick and candle together, moulding these with the heat of our hands and fingers.

Once we had our candle structure made cutters and different coloured wax were used to make shapes and designs to go onto our candles.

Our designs were stuck on by again using the heat from our hands to melt these onto the structure of the candles.

Once we had finished our candles, Annie then taught us how to remove our wax melts from the moulds and we popped them into a paper bag ready to take home.

Once our creations were finished Annie bought out some lovely cakes, biscuits and hot drinks, and we finished off the day with a cuppa, cake & chat before heading home with our smelly’s!

This workshop was made possible due to funding from Derbyshire Dales District Council
