The Hconnect team and DAACSS attended the ‘Expert Carer, Expert Patient’ Celebration Event held at the Radbourne Unit, Derby Royal on the 24th November 2025.

This event was to celebrate Carers involvement within the Project and their help in supporting future medical doctors to learn about Carers needs and experiences more.

DAACSS held a Carers Information Stand at the event which allowed Carers to access the support and advice available to them through Derbyshire All Age Carer Support Service (DAACSS) as well as the support available from Universal Services for Carers - Derby for Derby City residents.

The Undergraduate Medical Education Unit at the Radbourne Unit (Derby Royal Hospital) are now involved within the Hconnect Project and the 4th Year Medical Students passing through the Unit will now be receiving Carer Awareness Training in 2026. Amazing partnership working!
