The Higher Education Progression Partnership are delighted to announce their second digital festival “heppFEST”, is now live to book onto and is FREE!. Please find the heppFEST guide. From Monday 7 February to Thursday 10 February, they will be live from 9am with keynote speakers all the way through to their last sessions starting at 5pm.
The festival will follow the theme of ‘To go or not to go: Making the decision with confidence’
Each day will have a different theme designed to provide knowledge and skills to increase confidence to either make (in the case of learners) or support (in the case of influencers) the decisions a learner could make. The daily contributory themes are:
Monday: Is it for me? (Aimed at dealing with the idea of imposter syndrome that some learners face and the lack of knowledge around who higher education is ‘for’)
Tuesday: How do I get there? (Aimed at outlining the various pathways to higher education, application, finance, things to consider in school etc)
Wednesday: What is it like? (The higher education experience, curriculum and social)
Thursday: Is it worth it? Where might it lead? (Graduate job market, salary information, careers – present and future, transferable skills)
They have lots of sessions throughout the day for students from KS3 – KS5/L3 and then twilight sessions for parents/carers/students and influencers. Here are a couple I have picked from each twilight session.
