Carers week this year runs from 9-15 June 2025
The theme for this year is 'Caring About Equality'
We have a whole host of activities happening for Carers Week this year, see below for details ....
Monday 9th June 2025 @ 10am
Wellbeing Walk
The postcode for the walk is DE45 1JH but it covers quite a large area. The meeting point is where the public toilets are and the entrance of the Lathkill Dale footpath, just down from Monyash. There is limited parking in the car park and some available at the side of the road.
The walk is on uneven ground and does include a hill but it isn’t too strenuous. Sturdy footware required and drink and a snack as there will be an opportunity to sit and spend some time chatting at the end. No need to book, just turn up on the day, we will leave promptly at 10am and it will finish no later than 12pm.

Carers Roadshow : A Day Just for You!

At our Carers Week Roadshow, you’ll have the chance to connect with external services, discover helpful resources, and access a wellbeing activity designed to recharge and support you. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet other Carers, share experiences, and take a well-deserved moment for yourself!
A therapist will be there delivering short massages and carers can choose from hand, arm, neck, shoulders and head massages.

General Carers Awareness Training - for Healthcare Professionals only
To raise the awareness of carers and help NHS professionals to learn who carers are, how to identify them, to understand the impact of caring, and the importance of involving carers in the hospital discharge process. Delivered by the H-Connect Project Team.
All attendees will receive a certificate.
