Who we support
We support adults aged 18+ who look after or support someone aged 18+ with:
- A long‑term illness, or frailty
- A disability
- Mental ill health
- Addiction or substance misuse
You may not think of yourself as a carer. Many people simply say they are:
- “Helping my mum”
- “Supporting my partner”
- “Looking after a friend”
- “Checking in on my neighbour”
If you help someone who couldn’t manage without your support, you are providing care, and we are here to help you.
Our approach
We offer timely, preventative and person‑centred support to help you:
- Stay well
- Feel informed
- Stay connected
- Manage your caring role
- Access the right services at the right time
This service is delivered by Derbyshire Carers Association on behalf of Derby City Council and the NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board.
