As part of our ongoing support to unpaid Carers across Derbyshire we were able to secure some funding from Yorkshire Bank to provide a canal boat trip and meal for Carers.

The group met up at Mercia Marina where we set off on a 2 hour cruise down to Willington, Stenson Fields and then back up to Mercia Marina for some lunch at the Beetroot Café.

The group were able to go in and out of the boat taking in all of the scenery on a sunny day and finished off with a lunch, cake and cuppa at the Beetroot Café along the board walk.

Feedback from one of the Carers "Just wanted to say a big thank you from Garry and I for the trip and meal yesterday. We really enjoyed ourselves. We are so lucky to have the wonderful support from DCA and it makes life abit more easier to cope with."
