Wellbeing Walk

for Carers (& Cared For)

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week - 11th-17th May 2026, we are collaborating with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust who are running a guided Wellbeing Walk for Carers (& Cared For) at Allestree Park on Wednesday 13th May 2026.

There is the option to come by yourself or bring the person you support. Please get in touch with us to book your place/s.

Mental Health Awareness Week - 11th-17th May 2026

Wellbeing Events for Derby City Carers - Support for Yourself as you support others.

Monday 11th May – Are you from the Eastern European Community supporting a family member or friend? Come join us at National Trust’s Kedleston Hall. 11am-1pm.

Tuesday 12th May - Indoor Virtual Spin Class for Carers & 1 Guest - 7pm-8pm at Springwood Leisure Centre, DE22 4BG.

Thursday 14th May - Carers Craft Cafe - Peer Led & Carers Only - 10.30am-12.30pm at Dubrek Studios, DE1 3LB.

Men's Peer Support Group

Every 1st Tuesday of the Month – different activities every month suggested by the group.

An informal and friendly group for men who are supporting family members or friends. If you are being supported and your Carer is registered with our Service, please contact us for more information to attend.

Dates/Times: Tuesday 5th May – 2.30pm onwards

Venue: Meet at the Café at 2.30pm @ National Trust, Kedleston Hall for a Garden Tour starting at 3pm.

Monthly Carers Hub

Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month  - Supporting those that support others.

Open to all. Please feel free to drop in for information, support and to meet members of The Carers Team.

Monthly Shared Reads Group

Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month – For Carers (& Cared For)

Run in partnership with Derby Book Festival, come by yourself or with the person you support.

An hour where you can choose to just listen or join in with sharing poems/quotes that inspire or make you laugh. Your own material is encouraged but not essential!

Dates/Times: Tuesday 19th May and 16th June 2026.

Monthly Spin Classes for Carers

Come along to Springwood Leisure Centre’s Virtual Spin studio where you can access their spin classes. Suitable for mixed ability. Come by yourself or feel free to bring a guest.

Join our friendly monthly craft café for unpaid carers. Every month has a different activity which are suitable for all abilities.

Monthly Dementia Carers Café at Derby Theatre

Every last Friday in the month – Open to Carers with Cared For

The café provides a friendly and relaxed environment for people to share experiences. There is an activity each month, alongside the café, for those who want to participate.

Date/Times: Friday 29th May - 2-4pm

 Venue: Derby Theatre, located in Derbion.
