These sessions are a chance to:

• Take a break
• Meet others in similar situations
• Learn new skills
• Build confidence
• Improve wellbeing

Thursday 4th June - Monthly Gym Pass for Carers & 1 Guest - 11am-Noon at Springwood Leisure Centre. Book direct with them by calling 01332 640333.

Tuesday 9^th June - Melodic Moments with Derby Sinfonia. Carer with Cared For - 2-3pm with refreshments afterward, the Italian Mill, Derby Museum of Making. Book with us.

Wednesday 10^th June - Community Pass with National Trust’s Calke Abbey. Carer & 1 Guest. - All day entry. Book with us.

Thursday 11^th June - Carers Craft Cafe - Peer Led - For Carers Only - 10.30am-12.30pm - Dubrek Studios. Book with us.  

Thursday 11^th June - Wellbeing Walk with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust - Carers (& Cared For Welcome) - 1.30pm-3pm - Allestree Park. Book with us.

Sunday 14th June - Community Pass with National Trust’s Kedleston Hall. Carer & 1 Guest - All day entry. Book with us.

Tuesday 16^th June - Carers Hub. All Welcome  - 10.30am-2.30pm - Mackworth Library. Drop In.

Tuesday 16^th June - Shared Reads. Carers (& Cared For Welcome) - 3-4pm - Mackworth Library. Book with us.

Friday 26^th June - Dementia Carers Cafe. Carer with Cared For - 2-4pm - Derby Theatre. To request your place email s.allen@derby.ac.uk

Spin Cycle Class in the Virtual Studio at Springwood Leisure Centre, Oakwood is every first Tuesday (2nd June) 11am-12pm and every second Tuesday (9th June) 7-8pm. Book direct with them by calling 01332 640333.

Men's Peer Support Group

Every 1^st Tuesday of the Month – different activities every month suggested by the group.

An informal and friendly group for men who are supporting family members or friends. If you are being supported and your Carer is registered with our Service, please contact us for more information to attend.

Dates/Times: Tuesday 5^th May – 2.30pm onwards

Venue: Meet at the Café at 2.30pm @ National Trust, Kedleston Hall for a Garden Tour starting at 3pm.

Monthly Carers Hub

Every 3^rd Tuesday of the Month  - Supporting those that support others.

Open to all. Please feel free to drop in for information, support and to meet members of The Carers Team.

Monthly Shared Reads Group

Every 3^rd Tuesday of the Month – For Carers (& Cared For)

Run in partnership with Derby Book Festival, come by yourself or with the person you support.

An hour where you can choose to just listen or join in with sharing poems/quotes that inspire or make you laugh. Your own material is encouraged but not essential!

Dates/Times: Tuesday 16^th June 2026.

Monthly Spin Classes for Carers

Come along to Springwood Leisure Centre’s Virtual Spin studio where you can access their spin classes. Suitable for mixed ability. Come by yourself or feel free to bring a guest.

Monthly Craft Café

(Peer Led & Carers Only)

Join our friendly monthly craft café for unpaid carers. Every month has a different activity which are suitable for all abilities.

Monthly Dementia Carers Café at Derby Theatre

Every last Friday in the month – Open to Carers with Cared For

The café provides a friendly and relaxed environment for people to share experiences. There is an activity each month, alongside the café, for those who want to participate.

Date/Times: Friday 29^th May - 2-4pm

 Venue: Derby Theatre, located in Derbion.
