Wellbeing Walk with Natural England - No booking required
DE45 1JH, Lathkill Dale footpath
Come to Lathkill Dale, part of the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve (NNR) to see the lovely limestone scenery, wildflowers and insects. We will be visiting flower-rich hay meadows - managed as the fields were 100 years ago, without fertilisers/pesticides and visit traditional Dew Ponds.
The meeting point is where the public toilets are and the entrance of the Lathkill Dale footpath, just down from Monyash. There is limited parking in the car park and some available at the side of the road.
The walk is on uneven ground and does include a hill but it isn’t too strenuous but sturdy footwear is still recommended. The route isn’t tarmacked but is not inaccessible. Please also bring a drink and a snack as there will be an opportunity to sit down and spend some time chatting with one another at the end of the walk.
No booking required, just turn up on the day and we will leave promptly at 10am and the walk will finish no later than 12pm.
