Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Service (DAACSS) are working with GP Practices across Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) , in order to help them to identify, record and support unpaid and informal carers.
We are able to offer your GP Practice / surgery training and support, as well as our Carer Friendly Practice Quality Mark.
By working with us we can offer you advice and guidance around the following:
- Appointing Carers Champions
- Free online training for your Carers Champions (this takes about 1 hour 30 mins but can be cut down if necessary)
- Information for Carers on your website
- Information about the Carers Pledge
- Resources including posters, leaflets and slides (in appropriate formats)
- Ways to ensure your Carer’s register is up to date
- How to code unpaid Carers on your IT system
- Free Carer Friendly Awareness Session to General Practice teams
