The H-Connect Team have presented Carer Awareness training to the Oker Ward in the Whitworth Hospital, Matlock over the last couple of weeks.
The team did two sessions and the whole ward received the training.
Jo Housley, Ward Manager invited the team to present at the Oker Ward Away Days which coincided perfectly with Carers Rights Day.
Lesley Hodkin and Claire Travis, H-Connect Hospital Liaison Workers, were also able to talk about Carers’ legal rights and ward staff were really keen to hear what support H-Connect and Derbyshire Carers has to offer to support both Carers and healthcare professionals.
The Oker Ward is working towards achieving their H-Connect Carer Quality Award and are doing a great job supporting Carers.
