We recognise that the COVID-19 crisis has had a significant impact on unpaid family carers. As a result, the East Midlands branch of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services are working with a community interest organisation called Sortified, to find out what could work better and what could realistically be delivered now, during the crisis, to improve support for carers.
Sortified would like to talk to carers from across the East Midlands between 8 - 22 February 2021, to capture views, thoughts and information that will be shared with all local authorities to help improve current offers. This valuable project will help us to understand the experiences of carers in the East Midlands over the past year and will provide essential intelligence to help inform Carers Strategies, Short Breaks service design and the local impact analysis of Covid 19.
In Derbyshire, we are looking to nominate 15-20 carers to participate in the research through either a phone call, an online meeting or completing of a survey.
If you are a carer supporting an adult, who is interested in participating in this project, please contact Jude Boyle before 9 February
