Find out more about some of the recent Carers’ Voice consultation and coproduction projects that carers have participated in:
High Peak and South Derbyshire
Carers’ Voice has recently concluded area specific consultations in High Peak and South Derbyshire. These carer-guided projects aimed to understand the particular and unique challenges of caring in different parts of Derbyshire, and made recommendations for future service provision on the basis of carers’ feedback.
Carers’ feedback directly contributed to the evolution of our Training and Wellbeing Programme and the creation of three new job roles within the Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Service: the GP Liaison Worker, Carers in Employment Worker and Consultation and Coproduction Worker.
The High Peak report can be found here: https://derbyshirecarers.co.uk/blog/high-peak-consultation-project-2023.
The South Derbyshire report will be published shortly.

The Redesign of Carers’ Services in Derbyshire
Carers Voice volunteers have consulted on aspects of the redesign of the carers’ service in Derbyshire, most notably Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Serivce’s new Welcome Booklet.
As the Welcome Booklet will be offered to all new carers who are referred to the Derbyshire All Age Carer Support Service, carers’ insight into what it should contain and how it should be formulated has been vital.
The Impact of the Digitalisation of Care
Carers’ Voice partnered with the University of Sheffield and Durham University to find out more about the impact of the increasing digitalisation of care on carers over 50. The feedback of our panel of volunteers is directly contributing to a policy document on the issue.
